Some of the lakes and coastal bays that we have treated

Since the early 1990s, Vattenresurs has restored water quality in about 20 lakes around Stockholm and in the vicinity of Växjö. We have treated small lakes such as Lake Bastusjön in Nacka Municipality (Stockholm County) and large lakes such as Lake Växjösjön in Växjö Municipality (Kronobergs County). We have also treated coastal bays such as Säbyviken Bay, Björnö Bay and Torpeinfjärdarna Bay in Värmdö Municipality (Stockholm County). Our method works equally well in all these different types of water bodies.

 

We are ready to help Swedish municipalities to treat and restore their nutrient-rich (eutrophic) lakes, in accordance with the EU Water Framework Directive.
